LIVESTRONG OMAHA

LiveStrong, the Lance Armstrong Foundation, was founded in 1997 after Lance was diagnosed with advanced testicular cancer. LiveStrong works for patients of all ages and who are affected by all types of cancer.

Mission: LiveStrong unites people to fight cancer believing that unity is strength, knowledge is power, and attitude is everything. LiveStrong provides practical information and tools people battling cancer need to live life on their own terms. LiveStrong takes aim to close the gap between what is known and what is done to prevent death and suffering due to cancer. LiveStrong works through funding, support, education and advocacy.

What is LiveStrong Omaha?

  • We aim to increase support for LiveStrong and raise awareness of its resources which are available to ALL cancer patients and survivors in the Omaha region.
  • We aim to be a voice for cancer patients and survivors with the hopes of bringing more attention and community-based funding to the Omaha region.
  • We aim to be a “helping hand” to those cancer patients who are in need of assistance, whether it be healthcare advice or an extra hand with household chores.

Dr. Luke Nordquist and his wife Rachel founded LiveStrong Omaha in 2007. He feels passionately that cancer care for a patient does not end with the completion of his or her treatment. Cancer survivors face many obstacles in their lives even after winning the fight of their life.
