SUPPORT FOR PATIENTS AND FAMILIES

Support services for patients include nurse navigator programs, survivorship programs, lymphedema management, clinical trials, cancer genetics, social workers and psychosocial care.

In recent decades, cancer treatment has made tremendous strides. Patients are seeing more effective therapies and higher success rates. But while outcomes are improving, science has yet to find a way to treat cancer without serious side effects. Hair loss and weight and skin changes often leave patients feeling like a shadow of their former selves.

When it comes to managing those side effects, we won’t let you face them alone. There are appearance-enhancement programs designed to help you cope with and overcome some of the physical side effects of cancer treatment. Clinical cosmetologists, certified breast fitters and massage therapists have been trained to provides services especially for oncology patients.
