MCC-Legacy recognized as one of the Top 20 Most Beautiful Hospitals in the US

The Midlands Cancer Center in Legacy was named by Soliant Health as one of the Top 20 Most Beautiful Hospitals in the United Sates for 2009. The winners were chosen based on measures such as architectural style, photogenic properties, landscaping and distinctiveness. This Omaha location is ranked 8th on the list because of its concentration on providing patient care while creating a soothing, therapeutic space for patients, like the unique fiber optic sky feature.
This recognition is valued in the healthcare industry as there has been a link observed between beautiful hospitals and pleased patients. President of Soliant Health Dave Alexander stated, " As a provider of healthcare professionals for hospitals, we recognize that staff morale and attention to patients' needs are critical to patients' happiness, but the survey also showed that another factor in satisfaction was how the hospital actually looked." Patients who feel satisfied with the facility may recover faster and have shorter stays which is good for both hospital and patient, noted Soliant Health.
